I love it! Take a look:
I am so very happy with the way this turned out. I can’t even put it into words. The minute it came up on my screen I started to smile.
How did this come about? I was watching a SCORE webinar on branding last week, (and taking tons and tons of notes,) and the presenter mentioned getting a logo through fivrr or other similar pay-for-work online sites. I have a couple of graphic designer friends, but this idea caught my interest. It seemed easy, doable, and fairly inexpensive. (Though I paid far more than the “fiver” the site got its name from, it was absolutely worth it.) I looked through the artists under minimalist logo designs, found one that had a great package they offered at a price that seemed reasonable and went for it.
I will say that I deliberately chose an artist who offered two logo choices and unlimited revisions. It turned out though, that I barely needed any. I asked her to change one thing and fix a small typo, but other than that, it was just what I wanted. While I love supporting friends and artists I know, sometimes when it comes to your own business, that can get… complicated. This was simple. I’ll use them again in a heartbeat if I need it.
Additionally, I have to recommend SCORE for anyone thinking of starting a business. Their library of pre-recorded and live webinars is fantastic. So far I have sat in on one live webinar and listened to one that was pre-recorded, and both were great. I learned so much. I picked up far more useful, actionable ideas from them than I would have expected.
This means that I am going to be rearranging the furniture and painting the walls here on the blog, so to speak. I’ve already updated the theme to something that will support my logo. I’ll probably end up making a few more changes to the look of the site before I am through. So, if things seem a little fluid around here, just know that I am getting all my ducks in a row,.
And I have a LOGO!
